My present location was once the territories of the Kalapuya and Chinook people who made their home along the Willamette River and Columbia River. Through forced removal, some of their descendants eventually became part of the Confederated Tribes of the Grand Ronde Community of Oregon or the Confederated Tribes of Siletz Indians. I honor their descendants for they have stewarded these unceded lands throughout the generations from which we settlors continue to benefit.
